The Horse Show

I just got back from a horse show in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was SO cool! It was called the Reichert Celebration... I got there on August 12, and got back on August 17. That was the coolest, most funnest horse show that I've ever been too! Sure, it was long, and you had to get up super duper early (we are talking at like, 3:00 am in the morning here), and go to bed really late (eh, around midnight), but it was definitely worth it! Chevy (my horse) was such a good boy! We got 4th place under both judges in Nov. Youth Hunter Under Saddle (English), and 2nd and 6th in Equitation (which was SUPER good because everyone else that was in there was older, and more experienced than me, which meant that I had to work VERY hard to get the judges to even notice me; English), and then I forgot what my placings were for the rest of my events (I also did Showmanship, Horsemanship, and Hunter Under Saddle and Equitation again.) Also, one of my favorite persons in the world was there! Jamie West! She is, like, 24, and is totally awesome! She doesn't act like I am just a little annoying kid, but we are friends! :-) Jamie is awesome. Period. Hehe.

Now, we may be going to another horse show in October or something in Scottsdale, Arizona. I forget what it's called, but it's supposed to be the absolute best horse show ever, and have the nicest facility. We might get to go, but it depends on if Dad can get time off, or if he can't, then maybe he would let me and Mom go by ourselves. But he might not since it's so far away. I really hope that we can go, though!

Mom is also looking at buying a living quarter's trailer to take to the horse shows, so that way we won't have to pay money to spend the night in a hotel every single night, and then pay for the gas of going back and forth from the hotel to the horse show, and so on. It would cost less to buy a horse trailer, in the long run.

Oh! And I almost forgot to tell you about these SUPER cute shirts that we bought from the venders at the horse show. The first one has like, a gigantic black panther on the front of it and then all these other designs on the front (like little squiggles type dilly bobs), and then on the back it has the maker's name (Christian Audigier, at least, I THINK that's how you spell his last name...), and some more squiggle bobs on the back. It is SOO cute. And then the second one has this picture of a rose on the front, and it is outlined in fake little jewel bead type things, and it has a small little skull in the top left corner of the shirt, and then on the back it has this picture of a skull and it looks like a tattoo, it is so cool. I'll have to put a picture on here so that way, you'll know what I mean...

Breaking Dawn

I am sooo excited about Stephenie Meyer's newest and also last book in the Twilight series: Breaking Dawn! It comes out on August 2, 2008, which is in just a mere 2 days! I have already pre-ordered it and everything, so I can be sure that I get one! It is much better than waiting in line at the bookstore, and hoping that they aren't already sold out! If you want to learn more about the Twilight series, visit Stephenie Meyer (the author; which by now I'm sure that you've guessed as much.. :P)'s website: www.stepheniemeyer.com . I learned about these books by one of my most favorite teachers in the whole wide world, my Language Arts teacher, Mrs. Smith! (My other most favorite teacher in the WHOLE wide world is Mrs. Foltermann... (reading teacher, lol) she is just amazing. They both made my 6th grade year wonderful!) Mrs. Smith knows how much a absolutely LOVE to read, and she recommended them to me. Now I am hopelessly addicted. :-) I encourage you to read all of the books by Stephenie Meyer, which are the Twilight series (listed in order) : Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, her first adult novel (I've read it, even though it is more centered around adults... nothing bad happens) The Host, and she is currently working on another novel, Midnight Sun, which is Twilight from Edward (another main character)'s perspective. I really hope that you read them (well all except for Midnight Sun, because it hasn't even come out yet. LOL!) and love them as much as I do!

Yes, I know. It's horrible. We sold my first horse that I showed at a horse show in. It was an open show, but it still counts! That open show is how I got my super cool Mac laptop! hehe. Anyways, we sold Ollie to a new girl in our barn named Cheyenne. She's a beginner... lol. Ollie was a great first horse for me, because he basically taught me how to ride. I loved Ollie, but Cheyenne is going to keep him Patty's (my trainer) barn, so I'll still get to see him, and maybe ride him occasionally. Cheyenne is ok... I haven't really decided if I like her a whole lot yet. She is very nice, though. It's just weird to have someone new in the barn, when usually it's myself (13), Hillary (13), Jamie (25-ish), and some other people that are WAYYY older than us. I'm just used to our select group, I guess.

New car, new house (maybe; it's to rent out), new boat, and a new boat slip!!!

Wow. We sure are buying lots of things, LOL! My Mom bought a new Cadillac Escalade the other day, we've made an offer on another boat, our offer on a boat slip has recently been accepted, and we're thinking about buying a house to rent out to college students and stuff, like my babysitter! But I'm still excited... my Mom's new Caddy (as she calls her Cadillac) has heated AND air conditioned seats!!! IT'S AWESOME! It also has enough room to hold eight people, and it's not even the longer version! The new boat slip that we just recently bought has a living quarters up above it, and it has like, a kitchen, a T.V., couches, sofas, and chairs! Not to mention a sink, microwave, and oven! It's pretty decked out... I haven't been out there yet, because, well, I've really just been too busy riding my new horse (Chevy), and starting English riding on him. I did that after school today. It was fun! I like it because you get to go really fast, but not as fast as you would in reining. Now THAT'S fast!!! LOL!

AHHH!!! Here in a couple of weeks, I'm going to get braces! AHH!!! NOOO!!! Today, after school, I went to the Orthodontist (Dentist) to get my impressions. The Dentist accidentally cut open my gum. It hurt SOOO bad!!! And then I had to get spacers, and on February 7, 2008, I'm getting my actual braces. I'm going to be a braceface! DARN!!! Aubyn is REALLY SICK

Aubyn was REALLY sick today. She had a fever of, like, 102.4, and threw up ALL OVER our couch. IT WAS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY DISGUSTING! I thought that I was going to puke myself! But we gave her a tepid bath, and she seems to have gotten a little bit better. She's up and walking around, and talking, and being annoying again. But before, I felt really bad for her. Her cheeks were pale white, and she felt really hot. And Mom's in Florida, so we only have Dad, and he doesn't really know what to do, so Mimi came over to help us.
